Why Give?

At GracePoint Church we want our giving to be driven by joy in the gospel (2 Corinthians 8:2) and not by guilt.

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.”

(2 Corinthians 8:9)

Seeing Christ’s sacrificial love for us — that He gave up everything and went through the poverty of hell so that we could inherit the riches of heaven and the embrace of the Father — gives us gospel joy, turns our hearts from worship of money to worship of our good God, frees us from captivity to our possessions, gets us excited about the church and kingdom of God, and makes us happy givers.
